Move through zero gravity. Defend a rotating station.

Orbital Guardian brings earlier space-scene experiments together into a playable prototype. Equip handjets, push through zero gravity, grab the station’s surfaces, intercept incoming asteroids, and explore a planetary environment with a pilotable spacecraft.

The project grew from station and solar-system experiments begun around 2020–2021. For the 2026 assignment, I returned to that work and used Codex to help repair and integrate the existing scenes and interactions into a station-defense loop.

The challenge was making the systems cooperate.

EVA movement, moving handholds and ship piloting need a clear owner for player motion. Held tools and their projectiles need collision handling that does not jolt the player. Recovery controls and a timed defense objective bring those interactions into a repeatable encounter.

Built in Unity 6 with BNG VR Interaction Framework and credited asset packages. The report separates my earlier scene assembly, third-party foundations, and Codex-assisted repair and integration.
